Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a big garden?

By city standards, yes. I have an unusually deep lot. By rural standards, my Toronto garden is tiny. That’s fine with me: My passion is finding ways to grow lots to eat in small spaces.

What zone do you garden in?

My garden is in Canadian Hardiness Zone 6 (and UDSA Zone 5.)
As you’ll gather from my work, I enjoy growing what normally grows in a warmer zone. Pushing zone boundaries is a fun challenge for me.

Do you sell plants or cuttings? Do you trade plants?

No.

If you’re looking for fig cuttings or fig plants, a great place to start is an online forum, where you can connect with figs growers who exchange and sell plants and cuttings.

I have created lists of plant suppliers here.

May I send you my gardening product or gardening book to review?

  • I do not review gardening products on my website.

Do you accept guest writers?

No.
